View Full Version : My Pants are Loose!

Hey all, I put on my pants yesterday and noticed they were a little lose. Today my clothes are really lose.
A week ago I started adding ACV to all my water, 'cause I like the taste. That is the only change I made to my diet (a healthy, raw vegan diet) and now I seem to have lost quite a bit of weight, and quickly, too. I didn't really need to lose any weight, but it's nice to feel a bit lighter (and more energetic, too).
So, this could be another solution to those who are slow to release weight. Also, maybe ACV is a food to avoid for those who are too thin?

Interesting.
ACV is widely used to enhance weight loss... It's never had that effect on me, though, doggone it. :D

Ohhh I will have to try that! How much ACV did you add to the water and how many times a day do you drink it?

Sorry, but I'm not sure :o. I sip on water between meals as I am thirsty and I add enough ACV to be able to taste it without it being too acidic. I didn't really mean to lose weight by doing this, I just wanted some different tasting water.
Also, maybe it's not the ACV? It could just be the time for my body to release weight. I've been raw for a year and I didn't release any weight (which is fine by me as I was at a healthy weight when I started).

ACV = Apple Cider Vinegar
Make sure you get unfiltered, unpasteurized. Bragg's is a good brand.

ACV is Apple Cider Vinegar. Braggs is a good source because it is unfiltered and contains the "mother" which is the starter that makes the vinegar. The uaual recommendation is 2 tsp per 8 oz of water. Some recommend sweetening it with honey or stevia. I like the taste without sweetener. Apple cider vinegar is good for digestion too as it stimulates the stomach acids. I really need to start using it more.
thanks for sharing about the ACV. :) i've read about it often on EarthClinic and tried it myself w/ pasteurized conventional ACV but not sure if I had any results. will try the bragg's next time.

Apple cider vinegar tastes great with tomatoes as well. I make a killer tomato sauce I'll have to share with the people on this forum one day. :) Tastes great over eggplant or zucchini...

Apple Cider Vinegar, here's a link to a site that talks about it as a folk remedy and weight-loss helper:
http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/acvinegar.html#DRINKACV
they recommend 2tsp in 8oz water 3x a day.

I always substitute ACV in salad dressings when they call for lemon juice. I've never liked the taste in water, I've tried lots of times to make myself like it but just don't.

thanks for the info. :) i've been concerned about adding acv in large amounts of water and sipping throughout the day due to its probable effect on teeth. so adding it to dressing in salads sounds like a good option for those who share the same concern i do.

Hey, I think I have the same 'problem'!
With it being cold, allergy and sinus season here in the Midwest US and ACV being listed as a remedy for that, I started putting about a teaspoon of ACV in my juice first thing in the morning, then another tsp in my green smoothie and another tsp in my ice tea that I sip on throughout the day. Can't seem to down it in just water and it gives the ice tea a bit of 'tang' similar to strong lemon. Only been doing this for a month and my pants are loose! The scale says I weigh the same though.
I hate to shop so dug out the belt to hold my pants up! Just call me "baggy pants"!

Anyone familar with any studies regarding people who love the taste of vinegary foods? Just curious...I happen to be one of those people...too much vinegar (ACV, red wine, balsamic, pickle juice, white, you name it) on my salads, etc. Probably why I liked Kombucha from the first taste! I have started adding ACV to my water too - yum!

Are you still losing inches? Are you still drinking the ACV?

Thanks for the reply. Have you put a measuring tape to your waist to keep track of the change? It would be interesting to me to know the change in inches.

Wow, sounds like there is hope to my flabby stomach where weight training and cardio are not helping it with ACV.
Now, my teeth are talking to me. I'm brushng now with my homemade tooth soap bar. I have to keep what I have. Wonder about the effect on the teeth in drinks. I do use a little in my salads including dill cucumber salad. Thanks to my veggie peeler I get thin strips of cukes or zucc. Another kitchen tool I loveeeeeeeeeeeeee!
So excited about the weight loss stories. Keep them rolling in. I'm surely going to be upping my intake of ACV but wondering about the teeth too before I lose my teeth and lose more inches. I can afford the inches "be gone" but not the teeth.
What's verdict on ACV on the teeth in drinking water?????? How much to 8 ounces should we guess?
Hi Aleesha.
Thanks.
