... find it easier to log out and click on today's posts when the new posts only has a few, then log back in to post? Maybe I'm just being lazy ... don't know. Seems more likable to me than searching through all the boards.
And it's wierd because there will be 2 or 3 pages of new posts, I'll post a number of replys and they are still there. Then for an unknown reason there are less than 5 posts. Can't figure why. If I had logged out first I could understand. Then after that I start the log out and back in thing.
Comments?

I'm not understanding exactly what you're talking about ... but have you tried simply reloading/refreshing the page?
Also, going to Home and looking at the new posts in each forum area gives you a much more complete picture of new posts since they change all the time.

Hmm Doe, I am not sure exactly what you mean, sorry.
If you go to your User CP ( control panel) button on the top, once in there you will find a list of threads you have responded to, letting you know if there are new posts in it.
If you click on the New Posts button with the pic of the avacado up top, you will get a list of the last 30 some threads with new posts, in a timeline.
Is this what you mean at all?

I usually click on new posts and sometimes there's a long line of stuff, then I'll click it on a few minutes later and only a few show up. I don't get that either...

I never log out and sometimes, especially first thing in the a.m. there are a lot of posts; other times, not many and even SOMEtimes, there aren't any at all. Then I go do something else. :D

Well, I only log out after the several pages of new posts vanish. Then I can get to the entire list under 'Today's Posts'.
I guess it's a thing of 6 one way or half a dozen the other way. That is logging on and off to get all of today's posts or going home and looking at each individual board while staying logged on.
Sorry if I'm not making sense. It just computes better in my brain to have everything in one place. It is that way everyday in 'New Posts' but they vanish before I've read them all. Guess it doesn't bug anyone else, just wondered. Not really a biggie or anything. Hubby says I can find something simple and complicate it.

So I read a few and maybe reply to some. Then the list vanishes and all that is there is what was posted since I was last there a few minutes ago. But I haven't read hardly any of the ones that were there. Then the only way I know of to get the whole list all together again to read the rest of the threads with new posts is to log off and click the 'Today's Posts' button. And of course if I want to reply to one I have to log back on.....or.....I could stay logged on and look at the individual boards, which it sounds like that may be what most people do. I would rather do it the first way because all the day's posts are together.
What would be nicer is if I could find out why the majority of the 'New Posts' vanish to begin with and stop it from happening.
Also in the 'User CP' area there is a place for subscribed threads but it says 0. Is this what you are talking about? I can't find anywhere in that area where it shows the threads I've responded to. To find those threads I've been clicking on Doe and choosing 'Find all posts by Doe'.
If nobody but Sharon and I have seen this it must be our settings.

I would try to help with this but i really have NO idea what this means.
What is the problem exactly? if someone could explain it very simply i will try to fix it.
Thanks,
Alissa

If you open a new window to go to individual posts, the original list of new posts will stay for you. Do this by right clicking and choosing open in new window. What it is doing is showing posts since the last time you looked. If that was 3 minutes ago, you wont see much. So by keeping the list you get when you first come ,in its own window, and opening anything else in a new window, you can avoid this. Does this make sense?

Bless you Carmel. Now why didn't I think of that? Too busy doing it the hard way. Thank you much.
