Vixana,
I've never heard about raw fooder weight lifters or those in WT to have issues with gaining tone--neither have I heard about the puffiness. I know that in the past, highprotein diets do that efffect.
Nora form the raw food school is lean and toned. Our Tglasco98 is up to running 10 miles a day and does various exercises and is 'CUT.'
I will find the link to Nora and add it.
Be back!

I want those abs so bad. I wonder if you still have to do as much ab training to get that way in raw?????

Viviana,
Just go for it. Yes, I can see my muscles better and am dropping fat. It's pretty hard to hold on to fat when you are eating raw (at least for me) - check out my pics under my journal area (I think!) If you already have muscle definition, you will probably be able to see them more defined than ever!
Cheers,

Eating small meals often is a good idea for anyone regardless if they are working out or not.
Personally I have lost 24lbs so far and I think it's all fat. I am starting to see muscle definition again, WOO HOO! I have been lazy with my weight lifting but yesterday was was day one of a new 30 day challenge that is including weight lifting and cardio. My routine is... each day is different, first day upper body, second day cardio, third day lower body, forth day cardio etc.....
I will let you know how this goes. I'm keeping track of things in a note book and I will transfer it to my journal as I have time.
Love,
Angie

YES throw EVERYTHING out the window that you learned from the SAD point of view. Trust your body, listen to it and don't be afraid to EAT!
Have you read the Protien post from Alissa?

Hello,
Here is my experience so far. I hope it helps you. I started this raw food program with a ten day master cleanse fast. I was about 106 or 107 pounds usually but I had a layer of fat over my muscles. I am only 5'2 and for some reason that weight didn't help me stay defined. The fast lost me about 10 pounds and now I am totally raw vegan. My muscles are so defined now (only after a few weeks) and I am working out about 3 days a week along with yoga. I am really cut up and it looks great. THis is new to me, so my results are only after a few weeks, but I thought I'd let you know.
peace,
Doreen

By all means, just do it!
All the above ideas a great advice. All in all, your own heart will tell you what to do, and your body will love you for it. I noticed when I eat all raw (I am not a weight lifter, however) my athletic performance is alot easier and more enjoyable.
