Has anyone used tahini as a base for raw ice cream?

If so, will you share the recipe?

Thanks!

I've read several raw recipe books and have never seen tahini in any raw ice cream recipe. Is there a particular ice cream your thinking of?

It may be possible if you use a lot of sweetener and/or dates to counteract the bitterness. It's much easier with the other butter because they're sweet.

Found a recipe:

I was thinking of the "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough" recipe on this site. It uses tahini. I would love to make chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and I have a TON of raw tahini that needs to be used.

That being said....I have made way too many recipes that are failures and I can't afford to "try". I was hoping someone had made a successful ice cream with tahini in it and that I could have their recipe.

Thanks! :)

I was thinking of the cookie dough recipe too.

The Gone Raw recipe looks good. Their recipes have been already tested.

Why don't you just make a large batch of cookie dough & freeze it. Then it'll become ice cream. You can experiment with a small portion to see how it works.
