Yes, I bought one on ebay. I thought I wouldn't spend the money on the Excalibur right away until I had a chance to see if I would really be using it enought to justify it.

So I bought a L'Equip. Mine was a good price, brand new for $95. See a new one here: http://www.kitchenresource.com/catalog/product_detail.asp?catid=24&brid=3

Here is the Nesco brand. http://www.nesco.com/category_449f7f01f1ea/subcategory_9a621d433b83/session_5c9660843e89/

I try to find what the normal retail price of something is first, then I can know if the ebay price is worth it. The shipping might not be too different, but take it into account.

There are posts on this site about dehydrators where people say they have bought on ebay and seem to have had good luck. There's really nothing much that can go wrong with them anyway, I don't think.

Good luck.

I wouldn't do it personally. If something went wrong, you couldn't return it. I have a Nesco. It was inexpensive and it works for me.

Excaliber has an anniversary sale going on right now. Got a flier in the mail. They have an extended warranty going on, too.

Tough call vs used ebay model.

Excalibur is excellent. I would recommend that first.

I bought my Excalibur from a company on eBay. I love it.
