raw cheese bad for pregnant women?

okay, so here's another thing i was told....that i am absolutely not supposed to eat raw cheese or drink raw milk while pregnant because it leads to some disease (the name of it escapes me right now, but i think it starts with an "L")
anyone know anything about this? is there any validity here?

Although some here my eat/drink dairy, raw or otherwise, this is a raw vegan board and advocating it is not discussed on this board.

This board is based on Alissa Cohen's book "Living on Raw Foods" which doesn't not advocate the eating/drinking of animal products.
