Hi Everyone!
Twenty four days all ready. I started 1 day before the first to take the pressure of. I am starting to feel very grounded with this way of eating. I also noticed that my body feels so much stronger when I run on the treadmill. I am exciting about Thanksgiving, so many beautiful dishes to choose from I usually keep things pretty simple, but for the occasion I think I'll try something new. Asparagus and Porcini Ravioli with lemon cream and balsamic-fig puree and Pineapple Carpaccio with star anise syrup and coconut ice cream. I saw the pictures in Sarma Melngailis book. I always need pictures to get me excited for a recipe. Have a nice day everyone!
Today's foods:
2 bananas
1 bosc pear
1 Fuji apple
shredded green cabbage and beet with avo slaw
1 piece of peach pie
2 coconut macaroons
Lots of love and light

To catch up my weekend--my tummy was delicate, so I ate small. Saturday, I had a large, fresh juice of 3 oranges and a mango. While the juicer was out, I made pumpkin/brazil nut butter (oh yum!!) and had a couple of bites. For supper, I ate some celery and dip. Sunday, I had dried fruit and almonds several times during the day. Supper was Alissa's Pea Soup with 3 big handfuls of spinach thrown in. Oh boy, was that good!
Today, I've had more dried fruit, almonds, and a large Fuji apple. I'm eating a salad right now for a late lunch. Supper will be the other half of the soup, plus some raw crackers or grapes or both.

I've decided to start juicing one day a week (or at least keep it to liquids on the really hectic days). So today is Juicy Monday! :D
Breakfast: 16 oz. of grapefruit juice
Lunch: 16 oz. orange juice
Have a juicy day everyone! :D

This morning I've had a superfoods shake so far.
I will be having a salad today with a spring mix base, sweet peppers, tomatoes, hemps seeds, sunflower seeds, and a tahini based dressing.
Dinner might end up being garlic cheeze stuffed peppers topped with salsa. :)
Hope everyone is having a rawmacious day! :D
I had wonderful raw day today. I love the feeling which this food is giving me:D

shine, garlic cheese stuffed peppers sound fabulous!
I had a very boring day, kind of a bad mood day, but for no particular reason I could come up with. Didn't do great on my food, but okay enough, I suppose.
In order of what I ate--
1 orange
sunflower seeds (1/4 c)
salad bar salad, mostly lettuces
dried fruit/nut mix (1/3 c)
1 banana
raw breakfast crust cracker (my last one--time to reorder!)
1 pc date/coconut candy
Digestive tract still not moving. I drank 2 1/2 liters of water today, plus 2 c herb tea. Finally broke down and took some psyllium. We shall see what happens tomorrow.:o

That's great inny! :D
Well, today I am officially the mom of a teenager! (Hard to believe, I know;))
So in celebration, I will be making a wonderful raw lasagna and the pie he requested, while also getting a couple of things prepped for tomorrow. :D
Breakfast looks like it will be a superfoods shake. Especially since last night was night two-in-a-row of insomnia. At least I still feel okay! :D

shine--insomnia is no fun. I suffer from it, too. One of the best things to counteract it for me is to not go to bed too early, no matter how sleepy I am. It sounds weird, but years of experimenting has taught me. It's a sure-fire guarantee that if I go to sleep before 11:00, I'll be awake at 3:30, lie there for 2+ hours and finally drop off again 30 minutes before the alarm goes off. That's a recipe for feeling bad all day....
Haven't eaten yet today, but plan to have a banana (B), salad (L), and corn soup (Alive in 5 recipe) (D). My sis is coming over this afternoon to go through some boxes of family photos and scrapbooks we recently received from a cousin and I'm going to try to persuade her to try some raw soup. :)

Just one more day ya'll! :D Are ya stoked? Are ya even there anymore? ;)
Breakfast looks like it'll be a superfood shake. Today is our big shopping day, so I'll probably grab a bar or something while I'm out. Either that, or hit up our favorite raw place. :)
For me it was the best week ever:) See you all in December challenge

Hi everyone
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I had to change my plans entirely since my family and I decided to join my husband's family for Thanksgiving, which means that we have to provide all our food and bring it along since we are vegetarians. So instead of making an elaborate raw spread I ended up only having a banana and a mixed green salad with lime juice on it, because I ran out of time. This salad however was so delicious, because the taste was so vibrant and alive. My taste perception has changed so much within this month. To experience such simplicity and complexity at the same time was just amazing. I am looking forward to next month's challenge. If anyone has any ideas for raw gingerbread I would love to try them
Today's food:
1 banana
1 bosc pear
zucchini lasagne with cashew ricotta and pistachio basil pesto
1 slice of banana pie
1 coconut macaroon
and tonight I will have
16 oz of carrot cucumber beet juice
Lots of love and light

Okay, I'll talk to myself today, no problem. ;)
I had the bar this morning. I've also had two salads, and 5 brownies. I have been working my tail off today, and even that hasn't been enough. Lots of physical labor, so I'm just trying to keep fueled so I can keep up my strength. :)
Hope ya'll are having a GREAT day! :D

Oh Shine! You did so great this month! Hooray! Way to go!!! You are an inspiration! Maybe I'll see you next month...hmmm.....was in NY over the Holiday and I'm impressed with how far I've come in the past year...though I didn't Challenge well at 100% this month...I brought my VM along and introduced family to Green Smoothies...which my niece and nephew loved, especially after seeing my kids asking for them...and I have to have one in the morning.....I had such a tummy ache when I ate less than 50-80% Raw...my body just doesn't like it.......I also brought kale salad and chocolate coconut macaroons and the Grezzo chocolate fudge cake cut in bite sized pieces...all of which were enjoyed.......yeah, maybe I will sign up now for the Dec. Challenge! I know it might be difficult around Christmas, but guess that is why it is called the Challenge eh?!!!! :D Deb
