Hi!
I stopped eating meat about a week ago, i used to eat it every day!
I have got a terrible migraine and i NEVER get them....... do u think this is withdrawals perhaps off the meat? I dont know what else it could be as i am being really good with my diet.
I am getting Alissas book, dehydrator and blender and food processor with the juicer being the last thing to get, i am very excited but just with a very sore head!!

Hey there! Welcome!
Yeah, could be "meat withdrawal". What ARE you eating though? Raw fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds, sprouts?
You've come to the right place! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Increase your water and rest, if you can. That's the BEST thing for one's body.

Beside the meat, what else did you stop? Anything with caffeine will do this. If you ate the roastbeef, they often contain MSG, which will lead to headache. If you didn't eat organic meat, and the meat was loaded with very scary stuff (drug, hormones, anti-biotic, gmo, ....), yeap it cans do this. Many time seasoning/sauce for meat contain MSG and other armful stuff.
Perhaps, consider to include green smoothies in your diet. It helps to heal addiction and smooth thing out during the raw journey for so many reason. It won't last, just bare with the diet. You will feel better soone
Best wishes!

Hi!
actually i have been eating organic meat for about a year.....so now i am worried it might be something else giving me this headache as i have been super healthy (well in the organic sense not the Raw sense)
I just used to eat pork, beef and chicken........and havent had any in a week now! quite proud of that! even though its only a week.....:)

This is wonderful that you were eating organic meat. Wow, this transition will be easier for you. Did you buy sauce and seasoning and read the label too? If so, then i resonnate that you may be doing a meat withdraw.
Your body was probably very acidic from eating this animal food, the green smoothies will really help you. It needs to re-adapt to this new life style.
There are plant food very rich in protein. Perhaps, you may want to do more heavy raw goormet food with nut, seeds, etc.... Green are rich in protein too.
Hope you feel well soon!
Organic or not, you're going to go through some sort of detox when ridding your body of toxins (which includes the meat).
You've gotten great advice here already -- up the water, get some rest (and moderate exercise!), and drink up on green smoothies. You'll be golden in no time.

Welcome - this is a great place for information and support. I used to suffer from killer migraines growing up, increasing water intake does help. I also will take a few drops of lavender oil and gently rub my temples and rest.
Best of luck and again Welcome.

Hi! I am very new to the raw lifestyle as well and I had a massive headache the first two day's. The first day and second day was by far the worst day's for me. The second day I made sure I got plenty of rest and I slept for a few hours in the afternoon and I felt 100% better on the third day and the headache was completely gone. So just keep doing what you are doing and the headache will go in a couple of days. I made sure I got my green smoothies in and drank plenty of water. Hope this helps.
Best Wishes,
Tina :)
