What KIND of honey? if it's the conventional pasturized honey that you get at the supermarket then I'd say yes. If it's organic or local unpasturized buckwheat honey then no way! The buckwheat variety is especially healthy because it's a dark honey, the darker the honey the more antioxidants.

Make sure your honey is raw and unpasteurized. If it is local, even better! Also, wild/organic honeys are terrific.
If you are active enough to burn off all the sugar from the honey, then you should be fine. Sometimes I eat 2-3 tablespoons of honey (or sometimes even a little bit more) in a day.

I love eating raw local honey. My favorite way of eating it is with organic virgin coconut oil. Tastes like a coconut macaroon, yum. When I really want to go all out, I mix those two ingredients with some cacao...

Yick...yeah, honey just grosses me out and makes my soul feel guilty. Bees made it for them, not for us...and I just feel like it's not ours to take from them, you know?

It is always depend of your health condition. You should read dr. Gabriel Cousin book.

Typically, if honey is raw, it is rich of nutriment and enzyme. Just listen to your body, does it give you gas, make you feel tired afterward, etc....I do eat honey and love it, right now i feel like i have to stay away from sweetner but just now, and when i am in the mood for honey again, then i will go for it. I found out for me that i cannot mix it with banana for it gives me gas, but with most my recipes, it works good. Again make sure that this is more then raw, sometime it says raw but they used heat to put it in jar. I buy mine from a friend who i know doesn't do this. His honey is so good and great.

Listen to your body, you can always search for a professional (doctor) that do raw food and can guide you on your journey.

If you don't have any health condition and you are ok with sweetners, don't worry and just eat. Honey has great benefit if your body cans handle it of course.

Best wishes!

See, I can't justify my health being worth the lives and work of bees. Maybe if you're vegan for your own health; but if you care about the animals too, bees count!

So true. This is the reason that i buy my honey from a friend. He just loves his bees and talk about them with passion. He treats them like his children. Many farms, sadely don't leave the honey to them and feed them with white sugar. There are many horror storries about how the bees can be treated.

That's nice to hear. Yes, bees, often even locally are mistreated.
I've heard about that white sugar trick. Yikes.
