I am wondering just how long do I soak nuts before I dehydrate them. Is there specific times for different nuts? I am not looking to sprout them just yet........but, maybe if you know that too and want to share that would be great. :p

I have Walnuts, Sunflower, Cashews, Almonds, Pecans, and Filberts.........

Thanks for any HELP! :)

I usually soak them for 24 hours. Walnuts only need to soak 12 hours. I have some in my dehydrator right now! They are one of my favorites.

My list does not differentiate between different nuts.
It just says Most Nuts 8 to 12 hours.

Well, I soaked my sunflower seeds cashews for about 5 hours and they were really soft so, I threw em' in the "D".

So, are they supposed to feel soft? Yes?

Oh, and how long to Dehydrate on What Temp? Pleeeeeeeeeease! :)

Thank you for your feedback, btw :)

I dehydrate at 100 to 105 degrees for about 12 hours and then I check to see if they are "crispy" in texture. I always dehydrate a little longer than I think to make sure they are truly dry.
Cashews are softer than say, walnuts. They will be a tad soft. Sunflower seeds, I think, should have the "crisp" factor when dry.
