I can't imagine this tasting good, but with frozen bananas could this still taste creamy without using a milk of some sort?

frozen bananas make it super creamy, so a bit of water, just to get it to blend, can'tbe bad.

Frozen Bananas are Smooth and Creamy in lots of things. They are about the most Perfect Food. I always keep Frozen Bananas handy.

I believe that you need to add some water to every smoothie as it reduces oxidation.
You could use almond milk if you did not want to use bananas but I think that bananas add to every smoothie.

I always water to every smoothie I make and it's always come out perfectly divine! Click for picks of my latest smoothie on my blog. ;) (And I almost always add a banana as well.)

Yes! I posted a bit ago under "What are you eating right now?" the "Hulk" smoothie I made today. I always use either distilled water or coconut water to get things going. Coconut water is best, but if I don't have any coconuts I just use distilled water.

You can also toss in a handful of cashews or macadamia nuts to add to the creaminess rather than having to make actual nut milk.

I was wondering about water doing the job because I'm trying to stay away from combining anything but greens with my fruit, thanks guys!

Yeah the easiest way (and what we do in our house) is just to toss some cashews or macadamias with a bit of water in a blender and blend, then chuck the rest of the milkshake ingredients in. Easy!

Oh Rawererin, I see what you mean.
A green smoothie is different, we don't use nuts in our green smoothie, just bananas. We also use avocado to make it a bit creamier, but I think the bananas would just be fine, even with the chocolate powder.

rawererin,
I don't combine anything but fruit & greens (and water) in my green smoothies either. The trick to a good smoothie made that way is to put enough fruit in it so it's not watery, and if using a vitamix, frozen fruit helps alot. My standard recipe is 2 cups of water, lots of green, 2 bananas, and 1 cup frozen fruit mix (from Costco). Comes out smooth and tasty. Creamy fruits are bananas, mangos, papaya, and pineapple(pineapple in a high powered blender that is :D).
Hope that helps.
