Sproutmaster safe plastic? Other input

I am thinking about venturing into the wide wonderful world of sprouting! Since I would like to sprout different things at the same time the Sproutmaster appeals to me. I have limited space and it looks like it would fit easy on the kitchen counter top. Does anyone know if the plastic trays used in the Sproutmaster are the safe plastic or the ones that have leaching problems?

Since this is new territory for me I'd appreciate any comments concerning the Sproutmaster.

I would be surprised if the answer was negative and that they were not more careful than that.

I've contacted the company but I haven't received a reply yet. Does anyone here use the Sproutmaster?
