Kevin Gianni posted a video today asking us to state inspirations from the Rawkathon, and how we will use them in our own lives. My #1 was bringing living food to my community.

I've done my first step, which was involving my friends and creating an online group. It's small, but everyone involved is doing so well and is so interested! All of them are drooling over my desserts, pastas, salads, tacos, etc.

I finally did my step number two last night!!! That was posting YouTube videos showing how to prepare living meals. I am posting these to show those I can't see how quick and easy they are. Hopefully I'll be able to reach a larger community as well. I'm so excited! I took the plunge, and was so unbelievably nervous! My first video has many mistakes and I was so shaky. If you want to check me out on YouTube to chat or anything, feel free: http://www.youtube.com/user/CrazyHealerLady

My next step is uncooking classes. I'm contacting my local leisure centre and churches to hopefully book some spots. My landlord is the president of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Canada, and hearing him speak about health and nutrition is very inspiring. They have vegetarian cooking classes at his church every once in a while, so I think I'll have a good number of participants.

I'm so excited! I feel like this whole thing just gets bigger and bigger, and every time I think I've done something that people have no interest in, I get scores of comments from people of every diet that warm my heart and make me blush.

And as I do all this, my back injury is healing and healing and healing. I really feel the injury was sort of a wake up call, a warning to get back on track with my life purpose! because I had no idea this was even a part of it. I've always known it was to heal - now I am helping people to heal with physical actions, not just energy work.

Thanks for letting me vent my enthusiasm! Much love from the Crazy Healer Lady!

Way to go.

Sadly, not all Seventh Day Adventist get the vegetarian message. It was introduced to them way back by Ellen White but for some, actually many, hard to change. No judgment. Danny Vierra and drday.com are both 7th Day, heard them speak several times, and can check out their great websites.

If you touch one, then that's a blessing. Don't quit by number count. Keep us posted and excited for you. Your landlord is blessed to have the message.

Excellent video...link above. I love your way of presenting. Great job!

Hey thank you both!

I'm completely new to Seventh Days. I was raised Catholic, and my mom, being raised Old School, had many negative things to say about a few spiritualities, including Catholicism. I'm glad that in College I got to study what exactly many people believe and find the heart and truth in all. My landlord and I had a date to go for dinner with my boyfriend and his wife, and he would explain it all to us, but he's so busy! and us, too. One of these days :)

Although he is always talking about his church being very into health and wellness. I figured that would be the best way to start - and he may be my in ;) And the great thing is, if I teach there, I wouldn't have to go into the "meat is bad" thing, because they're being given that message anyway!! I'm not at all comfortable with going into that. If people ask, I'll give them my opinion. If they criticize my diet, I'll explain gently why I eat what I do. If they proclaim my children, when they come along, need meat and I'll be a bad parent otherwise, I'll tell them exactly what meat is and what I think of them and where they can put it.

Oops, bit of a rant there ^o^;

I find it so much easier to reach people if you're not criticizing the fundamentals in their mind. We're told by health researchers to eat less meat, and cut out fast food entirely. I can point to this and show alternative foods so they can make necessary changes, without asking them to give it up. They take me much more seriously, and have a great deal more success. Many of my friends have become at least vegetarian just from this approach.

The person that I know of that is 7th day adventist is really health minded with his diet and exercise....I was impressed. Congrats on getting the word out and all the opportunities your having and making!!! I don't think you'll need to be defensive in your presentations (about meat etc.) because if people are coming to hear what you have to say, it's because they want to be there and they're already open to what you have to say. Also, just because someone asks a question doesn't mean that we have to defend what we're talking about ..... it can just simply mean that they want to understand and know what you feel about it. Good luck....sounds like fun!!!!
