Yes, and yes...just mc'd so I'm hoping to try again soon and then we'll be UCing, babywearing, and ECing. Have you read this blog? http://www.pullingdaisies.blogspot.com. She's raw and does all of the above :)

Yes to the first. I have 4 children, 2 who are UC babies.
both babies born at home unassisted. the second one was totally on my own until the last hour when my then 6 year old woke up. fitting, i watched my little sister being born when i was 6 as well. what a memory for both of us!

Awsome. Never blessed with children but so glad to hear natural childbirth is still being practiced. Best wishes.

Do you know about Thegardendiet.com? Jinjee does all that, she wrote an ebook about it called Ecstatic Birth. also there is an ebook about breastfeeding. www.yogaofnursing.com. I don't know the link for the birth book but you can get to it from the garden diet webpage.
I had a UC and we're trying out EC too.

we homebirthed and had a wonderful labor, less than 4 hours, and all went well. as for the peanut, she was an almost 8 pounder, ec'd from day one, breastfeed, and on and on. she is now 19mo and doing great, somedays, with the potty. regardless, she knows her body and is aware of what is going on. surprisingly, she does better when we are NOT at home. any trips, short or long, out of the house is when she shines. she signs potty, knows how to hold it if necessary and uses a small bjorn potty in the car or the side of road to do her business. we always joke that she has pooped or peed along every major stretch of highway from Maryland to Maine.
definitely get logged on to mothering.com it is a great way to link up to other mamas doing the same thing.
