Ack!! My tongue!!

before raw my dad made me go on ethromicine this acne antibiotic.

it didn't help my skin one bit. afterwards my tounge had turned this icky yellow right at the back. i tried everything from drinking loads of water scraping it off wiping it nothing worked!

a few weeks later i found out about raw i ate lots of fruits for the first two weeks. was 100 % during this time. and then when i was brushing my teeth i was all ready to scrape that jucky yellow again but it was gone! i was like oh my goodness yay!!! so yup it's detox lol

Yup it is detox; Drink some lemon water with a tad bit of salt, and swish as you drink - that will help you until it is completed.

I had something that happened to me many years ago which was pretty bad. (This was when I was young and stupid ... not foolish ... this one falls into the stupid category ... lol ...) Anyway, I made the mistake of deciding to try some of the self-tanning lotion. BIG mistake!!!! Talk about a major reaction from toxins ... my tongue even turned brown from it!!! (And it really wasn't trying to tan, also ... lol ...) But talk about major toxins in that crap! It was nasty!!! :(

I won't even go near that crap anymore. I can't even picture now (like I said, I'd been young and stupid) how that crap could be good for your skin ... or anything else! But I was pretty freaked out when my tongue turned pure brown!

When I went raw in 2003, sometime in my 3rd or 4th month I went into the bathroom one night and noticed that my tongue was purple/black! It looked like I'd been eating a grape popsicle or grape lollipop. It was wild. I really wished I'd taken a picture...I did show it to my boyfriend, who was quite impressed.

I'll buy some lemons first thing tomorrow. Unfortunately my tongue tastes worse than it looks - all slimy! So I've been drinking water like crazy.

Yeah for the raw foods! I'm so happy that stuff like this is going on. I know I've dumped a lot into my body - lots of otc medicines, antihistimines, antibiotics, methotrexate, narcotics, you name it. If it all wants to come out via the tongue, that's fine by me.
