I wasn't sure where to post this question, and I wasn't sure if I'd be offending Alissa as a business-woman in any way. I will need some guidance so as not to be offensive (I love this community and would like to stay). I'll try to be as specific as I can where possible....

...I wanted to post a thread to ask others out there if they've attempted to market anything they've hand-made/ manufactured/ produce/ grown/ gardened/ etc. etc.

1. How did they begin? Step-by-step, prototyping, etc.
2. Where did they "venue" their product/services, etc.
3. How did they get it to a "Raw food" market, etc.
4. Any other tips that might be helpful.

I'm not quite sure how to word the title....If I need to be contacted directly to find out what I'm trying to ask, I can be reached at any of these contacts.

I don't really have an answer to your question, except to say that you should check out the links in people's signature lines. It seems to me that quite a few here have their own on-line businesses that they link to. I'm always interested and click on these links, and I assume a lot of people do. I know from other forums that some people get on forums specifically to get their internet business out there. I guess it's free advertisement and no worse in response rate than direct mail (and less offensive to the "recipient").

lt -- go to etsy.com -- that is a great place for your hand-made stuff. Check out people's accounts, see what they do. It's a great place to post or find what you offer. I paid someone for a service through etsy before, and it's a user friendly site. The cost is something like 25 cents to post something, then 3% of the sale. That's it.

As for finding people, I wouldn't attack them. Just stick it in your signature and people will see it and click if they're interested. :)
