I got my Good4U recently but i havent had time to unpack it and test it out.
i am doing so tonight.
i have 2 very accurate themometers in there to see if 115 is really 115 deg.
well... i started it out at 115 and after a half hour it was barely near 95 deg.
so i turned it up to the next setting at 125 and after 15 minutes it went up to 102. then i put the setting up to about 130 and the temp went to about 105. now all this is fine because when i had an excaliber the temp ran hotter than cooler. so for raw foodists running cooler is ok.
i now have the setting at 135 and its finally up to 110 deg.... which i consider ideal for dehydrating. its low enough to be safe for the enzymes and warm enough to get the job done sooner than later LOL.
has anyone else with a Good4U noticed this disparity in temp vs. what the setting says?
i like this deyhdrator alot. its very quiet and its a good size for me ... i have the 6 tray. i look forward to using it now that i have the setting guide sorted out.
