Wow did I get some deals!

They opened a new Sprouts store near me (never heard of them before them coming here) last week and boy have they had some great deals.

I got brazil and macadamia nuts for $3.99/lb
pumpkin seeds for $3.79/lb
butternut sqaush for .88c/lb
cantaloupe .88c
cucumbers for .69 c each
persimmins for .59c each (never had these but they look good!)
Pepper 3 for $1

and lots of other stuff.

I also stocked on up Olive Oil and coconut oil. I also bought MSM (never tried this before either) for $16.99.

I just hope I can eat up all this stuff before it goes bad!

I only spent $115.

I have meals "planned" for the next week I think.

The store is in Parker, CO....but I think they are opening one in Colorado Springs? The store kind of reminds me of the Sunflower market.

I really, really do not want to be the bearer of bad news, but I thought you might want to know this info for the future. Sprouts' raw nuts are not raw. I have lived near a Sprouts store for more than 5 years and have been very tempted to purchase their "raw" macadamia nuts. So, I spoke to the manager to see if by some chance they were truly raw (since beginning in September 2007 nuts sold in stores in the U.S. need to be pasteurized by law) and was told that they were not. They treat all of their nuts and are allowed, by this same law, to still call them raw. This is also the same at Trader Joe's.

The law is very deceiving to consumers!

We just got a Sunflower market about 45 minutes from where I live and they have got great deals too. The other week I got 10 grapefruits for a dollar.....yeah, I got 30 grapefruits and we've been juicing them and loving it. I've only got about 10 left. I've never heard of Sprouts yet.

Oh man! Thanks for the heads up though, Walnutty. I don't use macadamia nuts very often. I just bought them because the price was good! Is that the case with all "raw" nuts?
