Tomorrow my sister and I are meeting for our weekly lunch, at the Mexican restaurant that we always visit. It is called Moe's and is very much like Quedoba or Baja Fresh. Are tehre tips on what I can get to stay raw there? This is the same sister who sent home a bag of SAD food last week. So, I fear not eating raw, as I did last week (I did fairly well, but did fall off the wagon a little), will make her doubt my commitment to raw.

Thanks for your help!

I'm sure they would have salads and salsa's or bring your own dressing???

i have been to a couple of mexican restaurants now and they have both made me the most incredible salad with tons of avocado sliced beautifully on top. squeezing lemon over it all completed this feast that took me the entire dinner to eat (lots of chewing) very filling too and waaay prettier to look at than that brownish beige mess on everyone else's plates.
now mind you i wasn't at a taco bell but a real eatin place :)

I may just have to trade my chai tea for wine. ;)

I love Moe's! Haven't tried it for raw though. They do have taco salads, so I would ask for that without any tofu, beans. Just add salsa.

I actually read a post about this while doing a search (can't remember the link) but I am eating Mexican on Friday so I am planning on ordering a chicken taco salad, but telling them to substitute the chicken for avocado and holding the taco part, lol.. I am also going to bring some some taco "meat" that I have made and some cheese to add that I love.. the taco meat recipe is here..

I substitute pumpkin seeds because walnuts make me break out and I add cilantro and lemon juice. It's so yummy!

The cheese is the bomb recipe which is here..

I'm so excited because this is going to be my first time out to eat with my MIL and SIL since going raw and they know this, but aren't quite sure what it's all about (they think I have been living on salads, lol, and aren't sure what the heck I'm doing this for).

Anyway, have fun eating out.. :)

The taco meat recipe is so easy, that even I could make it for our weekly lunches. Thanks!

Snowdrops idea of having them make you a salad with lots of avos sounds like a good idea.
Order Pico de Gallo (it should be all raw) instead of salsa if they have it .
Enjoy!

Moe's is easy. They give unlimited fresh salsa & chips, so you can take one batch of salsa, with the fresh Guacamole, add it to their salad of lettuce & cucumbers. You can also add mushrooms, peppers & onions to the salad. Great fulfilling meal without having to bring anything.
