Phil Am frozen shredded young coconut. No preservatives or sweeteners added. Just young coconut meat and water. It makes great raw noodles. This really is the freshest tasting coconut I have had outside of the tropics.

I'm pretty sure it's raw, by the taste of it.

I'm paying 2 dollars for a package for them, which seems to me like the juice from 1/2 of a young coconut and the meat from 2 young coconuts.
I use them in a warm miso broth as a raw noodle soup. I need something warm and comforting now that it is getting cold outside.

Rawstrength,
I just did a search for miso, cuz I wanna make a raw miso soup, but not sure how to do this AND the search brought up your name quite often... looks like you went thru a period of miso-mania a few months back. So, how do you eat it and how does one incorporate it into a raw food diet? How do you get it to dissolve? Right now, I have some South River Chickpea and some SR Dendelion Leek which I'm dying to try.....
THANKS for your help ((((((((RAWSTRENGTH)))))))))))
Hugs,
DG

It's been getting cold here so I have been making miso soup this way:
Heat up water.
Pour it into a wide deep cup.
Add dry chunks of wakame and letting it soften up this way
Add miso.
Mix with the tip of a knife.
I have loved miso for over 30 years.
Oh, I grate fresh ginger with skin and a sweet potato. You can use a carrot instead of potato, but I use only a little potato for color and lots of ginger for the heat. Oh, I hand grate and like it best that way as it is super fast and get strips vs. slices. I can even squeeze the ginger and make ginger juice into my soup. Or, you can even make ginger tea with squeeze method.
Oh, again, you could add a pinch of cayenne or paprika for color (cayenne, pinch for the sting/bite).
