I take sublingual vitamin B-12. That's it. Most vitamins are junk.

Yes! A raw, vegan B formula that Raw Guru sells.

I take vitamin D because I live in the north and we do not get adequate sunshine in the winter. So many studies are coming out about how many of us have too low Vitamin D levels. I am not convinced you can get adequate amounts from the one or two veggie sources. The only other way is the sun.

I take calcium and a multi, along with a strong b12 every now and then.

I hate taking pills so unfortunately I do not take anything else. I have been raw 2 years and feel just fine without them however, I am not sure about the long term effects so I wouldn't necessarily say I will never take them if needed. I just don't do so currently.

I take a B complex about once a week. Have been adding MSM powder to my smoothies for a couple weeks. That's about it. Not real fond of taking pills.

yes thats true but i have a good friend that uses Thorne Research vitamins. shes got some real health issues and this company makes PURE vitamins with nothing else in them. there are a handful of companies that do make good ones.
not the kind you buy in the grocery store. LOL

late this afternoon i ordered a multi from Thorne and it has a very strong B 12
dosage.... so... i thought i would try a bottle and see how i do with it

thanks everyone for your posts.

I take a multi vitamine /mineral tablet made from vitamines and minerals grown in probiotics so they change structure and are more easy to absorb. It is from a company called NDS I belive it was.
I take them because I have absobtion problem (had colitis) and I dident absorb enouth nutriens when I startet raw (or before). But I only consider them temporery. I plan to go without when my body is healed enough :)
(Maby only take b12 and D in the winter.)

I take a walmart brand one-a-day. I only recently started after using fitday. Under the nutrition tab is shows me lacking pretty badly in calcium, vitamin D, pant. acid, riboflav, and selenium and B12.

This is on a day that I ate 2000 cal of greens, nuts, seeds, fruits, with spirulina and hemp protein added.

I am trying to find a way to get these in the diet naturally, but until then I am taking a multi to help out. I dont really know a lot about vitamins yet to be honest, but I am about to learn.

I do not supplement.

I go out during the sunny parts of the day (anywhere from 10 to 4 or so) for at least an hour to get my Vitamin D straight from the sun. If I don't go for those parts for some reason, then I try to go for even longer from 5-7 when it's still light out. I always walk on the "sunny side of the street". :) [Note: I have read that for those who work during the week and are unable to go out during any sunlight hours, the body could still use the sun from going out for several hours on the weekends during the sunny part.]

As for B-12 and everything else, I eat lots of fresh, healthy food, drink my green smoothies, sprout every day, and I believe that my diet is enough/plenty. I am just now adding rejuvalac to my diet (I'm making fermented wheat grass sprout water, essentially) because it is purportedly phenomenal for aiding the health of our intestinal flora, and therefore helping my body to create its own B-12.

If my diet is the healthiest on earth, I don't see why I need supplements made in some laboratory somewhere. :)

Calcium is more complex than just the charts. Calcium is definitely in the things you are eating -- and your body should be able to use it efficiently! Things I know that help with calcium absorption are Vitamin D (to get this, go out in the sun regularly and withOUT sunscreen and with as much skin exposed as possible) and magnesium.

There is plenty of selenium in Brazil nuts. I have those somewhat regularly with that in mind. I like making Brazil nut milk, then using the pulp in crackers or pizzas.

B12 is only "in" animals because it's a bacteria. Our bodies should be making it. We can't even efficiently use it (if at all) when it comes from animals. If we have a healthy digestive system, we should be making it with no problem.

Sorry, I don't know about the others off the top of my head. :) There is a great book called "Healing with Whole Foods" that has lots of info about what different foods/vitamins do for the body and the sources.

I do algae-based DHA (Deva Brand) only about 2-3 times per week, B-12 in the form of nutritional yeast, and D2 Spray. I would LOVE to get Vitamin D from the sun but I live in a really cold cloudy place and I don't like to be outside unless it's warm.

Thanks, that is the kind of info I need to research. The kinds of foods I can add to get these things in. I guess thats why they say an "unplanned" vegan diet can lead to deficits in the diet.
