I just created my version of Chow Mein for the recipe book I'm writing and decided to post this one. My book will be recipes that have these points in common:
-Easy and quick to make, no more than 5-10 minutes for most recipes
-Easy to find, affordable ingredients
-High in calories for physically active people

So here it is (I'm eating it right now):

Chow Mein
The rich and creamy sauce in this recipe is incredibly good.

1-2 sweet potatoes or zucchinis, grated lengthwise into spaghetti noodles with a cheese grater
1 cup walnuts
¼ cup water
2 cloves garlic
3 T Nama Shoyu (or organic soy sauce)
1 T agave
1 T sesame oil
½ T ginger
1 t apple cider vinegar

Put noodles in a serving bowl. Put all remaining ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour sauce over noodles.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Raweater,
Thanks for recipes. Looks great and for me going to add mung beans.

Why sesame oil as I have seen many raw use this? Flavor is very unique?

Also, suggestion for your upcoming great book....
Not everyone wants high calorie recipes so may include the recipe and then an option to bring recipe to high calorie or low calorie version so you bring in both audiences vs. just the high calorie lovers. Perhaps you considered but just thinking as I write here. Best to you always.

Thanks. For low calorie versions you can simply make or eat just half the recipe. Calories don't count on raw food so whether you want to loose or gain weight my recipes can do it.

Sounds great! I've just gotten into raw sweet potatoes. They can make a nice soup, too. Better, I'm sure, if you have a high speed blender.
It sounds like your book will be rawsome!
