My church is having a reception for our Bishop. Its a wine and cheese type of ordeal. We are all bringing something. Can anyone think of a good raw appetizer that I could bring?

You could bring bite size brownies
stuffed mushrooms
flax crackers and da bomb cheese dip
grapes
veggies and dip
Hope that helps,
RS

I think olives go great with the items you mentioned that will be served. Two olive dishes I make:
A tapenade type spread from green or black olives, basil, walnuts, lemon juice, and garlic. It's killer good.
A salsa-influenced dip made with chopped tomatoes, chopped black olives, and chopped peppers, sweet, hot or a mix. Amounts to taste, and you can add vinegar or lime, garlic, and black pepper if you like (I don't think it needs anything else).
To go with, I use belgian endive, celery, whatever looks good at the store.

Raw cheese board
Mix 1 cup of cashew butter with 1/2 cup of original (plain) flavor kombucha. Let this mixture sit somewhere warm for a day. Then, mix it up with some sea salt and your favorite spices (you can use nutritional yeast). Roll this into a mix of dried herbs and cracked pepper, then cut it into nice neat slices to make a beautiful raw cheese board. Adorn the cheese board with beautifully colored berries, your favorite raw crackers, and small dishes of spiced raw nuts. Try doing one batch with blended sundried tomatoes mixed in and one batch plain for a nice color contrast. Making a nice cheeseboard is all about an aesthetic balance of colors and shapes.
