View Full Version : I feel like my body hates me :(

For some reason, the past couple of weeks have not been well for me. I feel like my body and my mind are fighting.

I learned:

My body does not like nuts (Gas, digestion, bowel issues).
My my mind is torturing my body with them (I cannot stay away)

My body does not like a lot of food all at once
My mind does and it makes my body very sad

My body feels tired
because my mind keeps making me do all of these things that my body doesnt like.

I feel like I have been going back and forth, trying to figure out what "type" of raw works for me, what makes my body feel best. I feel like I keep doing my body wrong. I go with the flow, and just eat, however... I dont know what is "Right" or what "Feels right"... nothing seems to feel right because I cannot just stick to something. I would love to mono eat, or do a green smoothie feast, or a fast but I cannot stick to those things. I so badly feel like my body needs a fresh start. A time to rest.

Hey Chickie - change it up.

Start saying positive things.

Like:

I like my body.

I will find what my body likes.

I know eating a well-balanced raw diet is healthful to me.

Look in the mirror and tell yourself how proud of you, you are and how beautiful you are and how healthy and vibrant and alive you are...

Be positive.

If you think and believe positive, it will happen.

I'm sorry you're feeling so down. Your body doesn't hate you though, it loves you and is trying to tell you what it needs. I know the feeling. I pigged out at Thanksgiving and my body did not like it. But my mind...it sure wanted it! But what it did was make me crave fruits and veggies this week. I think each time you fall, your resolve is stronger the next time.

I love my body - I really want it to love me!!! Im going to make it love me!

I will find what my body likes! even if I have to do it slowly....

I know that eating a raw balanced diet is healthy for me - especially now because my digestive track is so jammed up I dont know whether to sit or stand... or puke... I wish I could poop!:eek: Yes... poop would work!

Snoops - I know my body is trying to tell me what I need, but I think its speaking spanish and I failed that 3 times in High School :( :rolleyes:

Hey Sarah! Here is a thought -- Revvell has this great book called "Revvellutionize your life in 30 days". It's actually a workbook of sorts, and what you do is (in a simple, easy way) examine the things you are doing and why. She has it in the form of an ebook and also as a physical workbook. Just an idea. I got it about a year ago? Maybe longer? I don't know -- but I found it to be immensely helpful for all aspects of my life.

And as for the nuts -- are you sprouting them?? I get indigestion if I eat unsprouted nuts but not sprouted nuts.

Yup sprouting the nuts - I feel like nuts are the only way I can survive raw.

Your body will only reflect back to you what you feel about it. It responds to love irregardless of what you may be thinking it's feeling about you. I think your body is reacting to how you feel about it vs. what and how you're eating. First accept where you are, then learn to meditate or use other activities to quell your mind. Take a walk, get a massage, put on your favorite music and dance around in the living room, get near a body of water if you can or create a spa in your bathroom. When you feel like you're experiencing a craving maybe sit with it for a few minutes to determine if you really want it. If you decide to eat whatever it is that you're craving, do so with love and acceptance. Eventually you will be in direct alignment with your body and vice versa. Your answers will come from within. They are already coming to you now which is why you're experiencing this in the first place. You're amazing. :)

Well I think it is time you start to love your body back ;-) Be gentle on it.
If you cant have nuts and seeds, get your fats from oils and avocados and proteins from sprouts and greens. It is posible :-)
Eat what you know your body loves, like fruits, a green smoothie a.s.o. relax and enjoy :D

One thing that works wonders for me, being allergic to most things (no, use to be ;-).

It is a easy way to self test, then you know what is good for you and what is not. Some might be bad for you today but good tomorow. Our body changes. this is a great way to find out. You can even test combinations of foods. Also food changes; ex. if I test no to almonds, but I might test yes to soaked almonds. Try it out.
I have used it for so long now that I only need to hold the food infront of my belly and ask and I waves forvard or backward. Much more easy and not as funny looking in the suppermarked :p;)
I use it for anything. Love this system. This might be a help for you ?

Also I have found that barley grass has been a lifesafer for me, helping my body getting i to balance again. But give it time. It will get better, just have patiens and be gentle on yourself.

I am trying to be gentle. Today is a new day. GREAT DAY so far even though it is only noon. I have only eatin peaches so far. Seems to be working fine because I do not feel like I have rocks in my belly.

its 10pm and I feel GREAT!

I had a load of peaches, a couple of apples, 2 bananas and a green smoothie!

I know not the most balanced.. but I FEEL SOOOO much better! I dont feel like I have rocks in my belly.

This was my first time mono eating. If I continue this will it help me overcome my digestive issues? do any of you mono eat all of the time?

I feel ya srsarri! Rocks in the belly and all!! I too suffer with digestive issues, and even when eating raw. I do think the mono eating is the way to go. I feel best when I eat that way, yet I dont stick to it 100%. Go figure!!

Interesting to note, but the Tibetans believe in mono-eating as well, and they have some of the longest-lived people on the planet, not even mentioning that their entire population survived without modern medicine for many, many years (before Chinese occupation).

If you want a great book on the Tibetan practices to maintain youthfulness, I recommend a book called Seamm Jasani (http://www.amazon.com/Secret-Art-Seamm-Jasani-Movements/dp/158542241X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1224308683&sr=8-1). It is full of useful exercises and tips for daily life. The ancients knew all sorts of neat stuff before the modern people of the world even bothered rediscovering raw foods!

Wow, this is my second day doing ONLY green smoothies and a light raw dinner.

I FEEL AMAZING.

I finally got "green for life" in the mail.....LIFE SAVER.. along with you guys!

MmMmm green smoothies are miracles.......and I knew that from everyone telling me.........but im actually experiencing it!

You must check out some of David Wolfe's writing as well. I recommend the Sunfood Diet Success System first. David really breaks down the whole raw movement, and what makes it work.
