I suffer from bad cramps since I decided to get off depo provera 3 yrs ago. I was 2 weeks raw when my cycle began. For the first time I was able to last 10 hrs w/o pain meds. After that I gave in. I was able to take a lower dose, so progress has been made. I wanted to know if anyone else has suffered this and how long did it take to be med free w/ the big "P"?

I understand that the depo shots are toxic and poison. You may have quite a bit of detox to go through and this does aggravate the cycle. I suffered from horrible cramps for several months. Unbearable. I had fibroids and they are gone. The longer I've been eating raw the better they are. I've changed my diet and that has helped. It does take some time for the body to detox and rid itself of the toxins. It does get better but in the mean time there are plenty of natural things to do to help when they come on. I use a heating pad and juice lots of pineapple-There is a thread on here for juicing for cramps that does help. I'm sure the responses will be helpful.

My painful cramps (for 30 years!) totally disappeared after I did the Master Cleanse and went 90% raw. :D

I think Zella Juice recommends a small piece of ginger root in smoothies for a period of time to alleviate them completely. I believe that PMS and terrible cycles are a result of a SAD BAD diet and pills. If you have heavy bleeding and painfully bad cramps, more than likely it's fibroids. When the body is cleansed and alkalized they will disappear. The more good things we put in our bodies the less stress and pain we have. Just keep checking the boards and reading and posting and learning and it will get better in time.:)

My cycles get easier each month. Cramps are getting milder and less painful. I had fibroids removed years ago. They grew back because of the junk I ate. Been raw since June. Added some cooked back in last month. This month the cramps are very mild and I haven't been as tired. I cleansed and detoxed(parasite, candida) take probiotics to clean up my colon, drink lots of water, eat tons of greens and juices and it is better. It's a slow process! Unfortunately, it takes time to clean out and heal up the body.:)

What brand of probiotics? What greens and how much?

I use Dr. Schulze's superfoods because I don't have access to organic produce. It's loaded with spirulina-gosh all kinds of stuff. I still load my smoothies(at least two a day) up with spinach and juice kale and other greens. Alissa has a green powder also that works well. I think it has a probiotic in it. I'm not sure. I use the Living Streams Liquid probiotics. Their live and it works really well for me. :)

My heart went out to you too. Suffered for years with horrendous menstral cramps. Heard everything from in my head to tipped uterous. It was endometriosis--diagnosed 10 years later.

Did not know of raw at that early point in my life. If I had, would have gone that route with absolutely no hesitation. Went the traditional medical route.
Did very low dose birth control to help with the pain--it worked, but again, maybe not the only or the best route.

I've seen amazing healing done with raw foods. Spent a month at the health institute and was blown away by all the people and actually witnessing their steps toware healing during my stay. Enough proof for me. The body can and does heal given the right fuel.

My best wishes to your continued great health.
