I tried to sprout both in a jar but before then turn to leafy greens, they mold.

I am a little discourage. What do you do to prevent mold. I would love to have more green spouts without having to buy them in the store. One guy sell his sprouts $7. It used to be $5 but he has good quality and he would grown them in sea water. Now, the quantity and quality is less and on top this is way more expensive. I would love to be able to do this at home.

Maybe i should consider those prouters.

Any idea?

When they are in the jar make sure that the end is not covered by sprouts and the jar is not too full so that air can get in and circulate around them.
When mine have sprouted I transfer them to a sprouting tray and it is there that they develop into green shoots. In the tray they get plenty of air and light and they can grow up and stay in that position growing towards the light. If you keep them in the jar they will not know which way is up because they will be turning when you rinse them.

Only use a few seeds, maybe a tablespoon, make sure they do not sit in water and that you rinse them often. If you are unable to rinse them throughout the day-keep them in the refrigerator.
