My husband has an inner ear virual infection that causes him dizziness. The family dr. has given him meds to keep the dizziness under control. We saw the ENT specialist last week, and he advises us that it can take up to 1 year to go away. So my question is has anyone had or know of anyone with this kind of problem?

Also, my husband is a SAD eater and I would love for him to go raw with me.

Is there any type of raw foods or any natural remedy that I can give him to treat or help with the dizziness and also help clear up the virual infection in his ear?

Any and all suggestions would be so helpful. I really want him off the meds.

Thank you.

Inner Ear problems do effect your equilibrium, thus making you dizzy, unbalanced. Has the Dr. given him any antibiotics? The only thing I know of is to warm some Olive Oil in a bottle or plastic bag, ON YOUR BODY (under your arms or between your legs). On your body because it will not become too hot. Then hold your head over to the side and drop it in. I put it on cotton and squeeze it in the ear.

I have suffered from vertigo due to a virus.
My balance came back gradually over the space of months.
I also found that I had to wear shades as the sun bothered my eyes for a while.
I had been raw for some time before that and I feel that if it could not prevent it then it is unlikely that it will cure it.
Time is the best healer.

The family dr. has prescribed Betahistine to control the dizziness. The emergency dept. at the hospital told him to take gravol. He has been taking the Betahistine and it has been working, but with some awful side effects like a splitting headache and heaviness in stomach. He is now taking them only as needed. I hope this will subside soon. He has had it since around the mid of September.

Thanks for your responses.
