I just got a LOAD of cherry tomatoes and i would like to make up a stuffing for them to pop into my mouth when i am working. a nice dish of them would be easy to eat right here next to my computer and i wouldnt have any mess with them stuffed.

what do you suggest? ...the tomatoes are VERY sweet. a nice savory stuffing would balance it out.

thanks.

I've never stuffed anything into a tomato, but I could imagine that the jalapeno burger mix would be great in tomatoes.

I like spicy cashew cheese with tomatoes.

Bell Pepper (blend 1st)
1 cup Cashews
1 tsp Salt
Lemon juice
Cayenne or Jalapeno pepper
Blend.

thanks for your suggestions... they sound good. i LOVE stuffed tomatoes and the cherry ones are great because they are one bite and not messy.
if anyone else has more suggestions i would like to hear them too.
thanks

Great idea, although I don't have any. I'm not lazy but I would not take the time to stuff a Cherry tomato. I would just stuff it in My mouth. Now I would stick tooth picks in them and dip them in a dip or sauce.

I bought regular tomatoes today, 5lbs for 99c, I don't know what I'm going to do with them. Most of them I will just slice and eat or add to Salads. I know Borring.

Hope you find a Recipe you love......

Hi,

I think hummus would be nice as a stuffing....and an added low-fat protein. There was a thread on here about a new (I think) raw hummus.

I don't know where you are or if there is a Whole Foods near you but maybe you can find it.

Guacamole. Simple, yet oh-so-good with sweet, juicy tomatoes.

yeah LOL! it takes time to stuff them but i dont mind it i can do it after work when i am watching something on tv. the end result is worth it becuase i need easy food to eat when i am working. these little goodies will do the trick. i dont mind spending time on food prep but then I LOVE to eat...and i dont have any responsiblities. no kids no family close by and a boyfriend that lives overseas. LOL my time is my own and i enjoy feeding myself well.

do i sound like a glutton? maybe i am. it makes me laugh just thinking about it. my boyfriend, unfortunately is an excellent SAD cook and misses stuffing me with his tasty creations....but....he working on trying to make raw things for when we see eachother again.

anyway....thanks for all your suggestions. i will try them.

I don't know how it would taste stuffed into a tomato, but I made a raw chili last week that was very tasty stuffed into a pepper.
