Many of you have been asking for pictures of my weight gain progress. I don't have any "before" pictures but I just took this quick one now, I think my arms looked bigger from a front view picture I took when I was maybe 20 lbs less, I'll try taking a better one soon.

I'll be getting even bigger. In fact I think one reason my arms seem smaller is that I had been neglecting my dumbbell workouts but I've started doing them regularly again.

I would comment on the picture, but my computer is playing dumb. All I see is a tiny box with a red x in the middle. Oh well...I'm still impressed by your dedication.

its a long time and many years of current training if u train endurance strentgh. Look at Bruce Lee, his muscles werent very big but incredible strong. Its natural to have compact and strong persistent muscles to climb trees and fight against other human apes:D to protect our female. Therefor u need speed and endurance - not those bodybuilder mucles hills but fast compact super persistent muscles !

If u want to build Boybuiler muscles its probably a good idea to do ery short workouts and repeats under 8. F.e. 5 repeats, 3 times every muscle group.
go into a fitness club and watch those human bears - they are mostly training with very much weight and very small repeats.

-Goji berries 11g protein/100 gramm
-Spirulina and other algees
-Spinach and other dark green leafy veggies in big quantity

I think the key is to REALLY absorb the protein + beeing in balance with minerals and the 3 big food groups(greens, fats, fruits)

U dont get all the protein from seeds like they are in goji berries. Because u cant break those seeds and nuts down, except u got a perfect blender. And nuts and seeds also have to be soaked to increase the protein absorbtion.

Greens are easier to digest and contain also much protein(cale 3g/100g)
If u re eating like me 300g you re getting 10g protein from that. Also i am eating 3 lbs of green lefy veggies thats 30g protein. Also i am eating nuts, seeds and fatty fruits that are in average 20g. And i am also eating fruits which contain the last 10g(over 2lbs) so i am having 70g protein a day like its recommended in my country.

Papaya before a big protein meal like nuts, seeds, giaNT salads equals a better diggestion of protein!

Thanks for the comments, I'll post another pic in a few months when I've made more progress.

By the way I take no protein powders at all, I avoid all processed foods/powders.

Very impressive!
I'm sure you could convince anyone that raw vegans get enough protein!

Although raweater looks strong with his raw muscles, I couldn't help noticing rawstrength's beauty hiding behind a green leafy vegetable ;')

daprovic - you are too kind and too cute. There's a picture of me on this thread if you want to see me unobscured by vegetables http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=45247 .

I'm probably cute (!), but nothing close to what I see in that picture ;) For how long have you been on a raw vegan diet beautiful?

I've been a cooked food vegan for 3 years and a raw vegan for a year. Raw works.

It's nice to see a raw vegan that doesn't take supplements. I'm the same myself. I agree that whole foods is the way to go. And it also sets a great example for people to see that raw-vegans don't need supplements. It's all in the food!

I'll be hitting the dumbbells very soon myself and I'm quite excited! :)
