I know that I will forget my grocery list while on little sleep, so I am writing it on my report that I am doing for class; I'll delete it before turning it in. I can't find the thread, but I remember reading about some type of bar that I can buy at the store. I know it's not a Luna or Cliff bar, but for the life of me I can't find the thread. Whatever it is, it sounds like it will be filling and be just what I need for my lifestyle.
Thanks for your help!

I like pecan pie and cinnamon roll Larabars. Larabars in general can be kinda dry, so only buy one flavor at a time till you are sure you like them.
I also like Raw Revolution chocolate chip cookie dough bar (name is ick, but taste is really good). These bars are much moister than Larabars.
Bars are dense, so I never eat more than 1/2 at a time. I pair them with fresh fruit and/or water.
I saw Larabars being made on a show on the food network. She said she started with only her food processor and a rolling pin and that's how virtually all the bars are made. So I'm thinking, I could just make my own! To begin with, the ingredients are right on the package. Then maybe I could tweak them to make them moister.

You can easily make your own bars with dates, nuts, etc.
ThinkOrganic also make organic raw food bars, I like their cherry nut and chocolate coconut ones but haven't had them in a long time.

not impressed with those tiny lightweight bars and they're not even organic. i like Love Force's substantially large and quite filling bars http://dimondhealth.com/Food.htm. not sure if stores sell them since i havent seen them.
otherwise its simple to whip up my own.

This company has raw bars that I like.
I keep them in my bag and car for emergencies.
I buy them at Whole Foods.

I like the Lara gingersnap ones and the Organic Raw Food bar coconut and chocolate chip (although the chocolate part is barely tasteable.)
I tried a chocolate one called 100% raw foods and whey and hated it. I don't mind that I hate it since whey is made of dairy products.

I didn't realize Think Organic were raw!
Sure enough, they are - sweet!

Organic Raw Food bar-only the Omega one is 100% raw.
Think Organic-only some are raw. They list ingredients on their website.
There's also Pure Bar that Whole Foods carries, but also not all flavors 100%.
I find that the longer I'm raw, the less I like these bars. They just don't taste very good. Probably because they're mass-produced and aren't as fresh as the ones you get from the smaller internet companies. But when you first become raw or are transitioning, they're fine. Definitely better than the SAD versions.

Well, everyone's opinions and experience differ, so I'm not sure that's a fair generalization to make.
The information is appreciated, though.

Well, everyone's opinions and experience differ, so I'm not sure that's a fair generalization to make. It tends to be like that with all food though, which is a good thing. The longer you're raw, the more your tastes change-like wanting things less sweet, salty, etc. One of the reasons most can't go back to SAD. If you look at any long-time raw foodist (2 yrs min), they'll all say this.

Thanks for the tip! I asked the a worker at Trader Joe's yesterday if she has tried them before and if so which one she likes. She hadn't tried them so opened up some for me to try. I don't like cherries but went for the Lara Bar with Cashews and the Apple Pie one. Yum!
Off to a group presentation.
