Hi--

I have a friend who is really into eating a vegetarian diet/almost raw one. She suggested that I buy Green Powder from Trader Joe's, mix it in with my water, and drink it three times a day. She also said that carrot juice, not whole carrots, are a necessary part of this lifestyle. I had not seen any of this mentioned here. So, I wanted your opinions before I invest in these things.

Thanks for your help!

there is no "supposed to" in raw foods. do what YOU want... do what YOUR body desires.

yes you can add spirulina to your daily regime... you can add fresh juices... do you have to... no way.

Fresh juices are ideal, esp vegetables and greens. I wouldn't recommend only carrots because they're high in sugar and why not get nutrients from as many sources as possible. Blended foods are important too. Some choose blending, some juice, some both. There isn't one set way to be raw. Just experiment and see which works for you.

Green powders are more for maintenance, but not meant to replace fresh foods. Most aren't raw though.
