I made a soup last night with avocado, tomatoes, spices and lentils. I didn't like it so much, but I don't want to waste it. I was thinking of adding some ingredients and making a loaf or bread or something. Anyone have any ideas? Also how long do sprouted lentils last in the fridge?

How about throwing in either whole or ground flax and make lentil crackers? Add more spices to perk it up a bit???

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried putting more spices and pureeing the lentils into a soup, but it didn't work. That's okay, a bad recipe is a rarity; usually I can fix it.

Is it bad because it is too bland and grainy? Blending in marinated portabello mushrooms would make it smoother and tastier. I always add a few to my raw chickpea hummus and to my sprouted lentil dip recipes.

If it is really terrible, then I wouldn't waste more ingredients trying to save it. You can use it for awesome compost.

After I blended it it tasted...sharp or grassy. Reminiscent of cauliflower, although no cauliflower was in it! I can usually salvage a recipe, but I don't even think a dehydrated recipe would have saved it so it got tossed. :o

A little acid should help brighten it up. ACV, Lemon Juice or Lime Juice.
