Is there an akternative to say sauce , braggs, and tamari. They are all made with soy, and soy is bad for a thyroid. I find when ever I consume things with soy whether it is miso or soy sauce I start to feel all of my thyroid symptoms. Is there an alternative for soy sauce? I found an alternative for miso that is made with rice and chickpeas. But what about soy sauce?

What about Marmite? It's not raw, but technically, neither is soy saucel.

It depends what you are replacing it in. I have read that others just replace the soy sauce with sea salt to get the salty flavor of soy.

I do different things, depending on the recipe. Usually, I just use sea salt. But sometimes I have fun with a mix of wasabi powder, sesame oil, and ACV (for nori roll dip) or just some sesame oil and sea salt for things that are Eastern-flavor kind of dishes.

I hope that helps. I don't have any particular health issues since going raw (yay!), but I find that most things that are not really raw make me feel less than stellar. And I prefer to feel MORE than stellar! :)

Very good answers! I totally agree. It really does depend on the recipe. Sometimes I find that lemon (fresh squeezed) and EVOO and Celtic salt work well.
If some food source does not agree w/me, I do not eat it.

I replaced it with an equal amount of water plus salt and curry powder (or other spices you may like) in the onion bread recipe and it's quite good.
