This was in the paper today, BR "The Advocate" article by Bob Souvestre detailing "flavors" and other points about different sprouts. Thought it might be helpful.

Adzuki Beans - sweet nutty flavor
Alfalfa - Universal appeal
Basil - Aniseed flavor and fragrance
Beet - Sow year-round
Broccoli - Most nutritious sprout
Chickpea - Crunchy, mild and full of fiber
Fenugreek - spciy curry flavor
Green peas - Sweet tasting
Lentil - High in Vitamins A and C
Mung beans - Great in stir-fry (apparently he's not raw)
Onion - mild onion flavor (makes sense)
Radish - Adds tangy taste to foods
Rocket (??) - For those who want a bit of bite
Snow peas - Produces excellent sprouts
Sunflower - Adds some crunch to your diet

Basil sprouts don't taste like mature basil. They taste kind of funky. I don't like them very much.
Rocket is arugula, a spicy wild green. I love rocket/arugula sprouts and I love the full grown leaves. The flowers are wonderful, too.
If you eat fenugreek seeds, be prepared to smell like fenugreek!!!!

Actually I wouldn't know a fenugreek if it bit me!

Thank you this is perfect for me. I am trying to sprout the alfafa right now, and i am crossing my finger for it has been 3 days now and not much big progress. My fenugree seems ok.
