I had friends over last night and they ate 100% raw. Now, it was only snacks, but they LOVED what I made.

I made Mattye's Garlic Cheese from her Frugal Raw book. I put it in baby bella caps, celery, and cuke rings. I took a long cuke, cut it into thirds and hollowed the pieces out and stuffed them with garlic cheeze, then I sliced them so they looked like green rings with the yellow cheese inside. Then I made Gus's Rawlmond Joy recipe (subbing dates for raisins, since we are out of raisins) and I shaped them into cubes. Next I made these yummy nut/seed balls. I ground sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds all in the FP. I added a little vanilla, honey, and gojis and a few dried apricots and blended them again. I rolled them into balls. They were a huge hit.

I also served onion-tamari pumpkin seeds and raw cider. It was great fun to serve them such wonderful food.
And to top it off my dh AC's burger buns were a HUGE hit, even with my dh who's really been STRUGGLING with going raw. He asked me to make them everyday.

How cool! Good for you. I think regular sad people do not realize how good healthy raw recipes can be. It is fun when you do make raw recipes and people like them.

It's amazing, isn't it, when a non-raw fooder ends up loving something you've made. They don't know that there are so many cool things you can do with healthy foods that taste out of this world and are healthy to boot. A new guest was here last night, and was blown away by snacking on my raw granola that I make that even my non-raw husband is addicted to - LOL!

Wow that is great that you were able to host friends that were willing to eat all raw...

Kudos to you girlie!

Yeah, what is it with hubbies and kiddos that pick the time intensive (or with my J, the most expensive) things as their favorites?! But, as far as I'm concerned, whatever works to get them raw and keep them raw is what I'll do!:D
