I use romaine leaves or flax crackers as my "bread".

I fill them with avocados, tomatoes, sprouts, cucumbers, mock tuna salad, and dressings.

In Alissa's book she has recipes for raw breads and wraps. I haven't tried them, but everything else I have made from her book is delicious!

Do you have a dehydrator? If so, learn some new recipes for various raw crackers and "breads" that you can make - they are awesome! Granted, they won't be like the thick yeasty bread that you are accustomed to on a cooked diet, but they will really help you stay raw. Plus if you are creative with food prep you can tweak the recipes - I know I do this! On thin slices of these new dehydrator breads you can slather on some raw pate, spread or dip, and top off with chopped tomatoes and other veggies, have a nice big heap of greens along with that, and you've got a fast, filling, healthy raw meal. I know these have really helped me because I like to have something a little more dense too. I need it too, because I work out.
If you don't have a dehydrator, the Excalibur is very popular amongst rawfooders - it is totally worth the $$ and opens up a whole new world of yummy foods. Be sure to get the set of teflex sheets too as these are necessary for many recipes.

Have you tried the onion bread recipe that's on here? It's fantastic as "bread" for a veggie sandwich. Also, great as a "pizza" crust.

I only have sandwiches or something similar if they come from a raw restaurant or I buy dehydrated products like flat breads or crackers. Otherwise I have lettuce wraps & cucumbers with spreads. Really don't miss bread even though I use to love it. There are many things you will find you don't want or need anymore once you find other things to eat that are equally or more satisfying.

Raw onion bread and flax crackers work really well but take a lot of effort.
Personally, I love making nori rolls and filling them with avocado, vegetables, nut cheese, etc.

I just made the onion bread recipe found here and had a sandwich with tomato and avocado. The bread is a little chewier than what you are used to but it was very nice. I dehydrated it for about 15 hours though. The recipe says only about 9. It would not have stood up as a piece of bread at 9 hours.

I make the onion bread into little squares and use it for sandwiches with Swiss nut cheese, lettuce and tomato.

I do that all the time! LOVE Alissa's swiss cheese, and it's SO good with tomatoes on the onion bread. mmmm! My fav sandwich.

I also like putting the RAWvolution 'egg' salad on the onion bread with cucumbers. Mmmmmmmm!

I'll also agree with others on the ONION BREAD. This is so good. We like it with some mustard, onion, tomato, lettuce. It's a favorite here at our place!
