I keep reading about green smoothies...can anyone pass along some SIMPLE recipes...something that can be made in a short time if possible..I make lots of green juice but how do you thicken it to be a smoothie? Fruit smoothies are easy..I use frozen fruit or bananas...I tried using soaked nuts and got "crunchy juice" lol..I drank it but it was kind of out there for me! So green juice with frozen fruit?

Should automatically be thick. The less water, the thicker. Experiment with a variety of fruits to find which combos you like. Fresh is better, but frozen can work too.

Green Smoothie
1-2 cups Greens
Fruit options: Banana, Orange, Apple, Mango, berries
Water
Optional: Coconut or Flax oil

Banana Plum Cinnamon Smoothie
2 Bananas
1-2 Plums
Greens
Cinnamon
Water

ok is all of this put into a blender or food processor? Forgive my ignornace...I dont want to end up with pate when i am trying to make a smoothie

Blend. Best in a vitamix or blentec, but if not just blend longer making sure it doesn't get hot. Can also make these into puddings for a variety using little or no water.

The Dimond Health site is about the best I have seen in a while...wow talk about simple! Thanks so very much. Going to use my food processor since I dont have a vitamix...just purchased a dehydrator and a juicer not long ago..
