Just kidding, but it kind of feels that way.
In six months I return to the dentist. I will have to get at least one filling in a gross little discolored spot between two front teeth. Also, I have some bad gum recession and some pits in molars that for some reason the dentist does not identify as cavities. In fact, he never even mentions them, but I can see clearly, pits in my molars.
Also, my teeth just feel sensitive, and weak. Lots of foods bother them and there are sensitive spots between the gums that often bleed when I floss. Also there is some demineralized areas that the dentist is warning me about. Some of those areas have become stained. One area in the front just looks white. It's just a sliver of white bordering the gums.
So anyway, I have 6 months to reverse these things and surprise my dentist.
How do I do it?
Also, how do I get whiter teeth in the process?

I understand that oil pulling helps with all (or at least most) of those issues. Do a search on this forum, there are some threads about it.

Greens, and lots of them, preferably in smoothie form. Greens are excellent for de-sensitizing teeth.
And fresh carrot juice every morning. Whenever I do this, my teeth get stronger, and whiter, no joke. It's strange, but I think the carrot juice running through my teeth whitens them.
I hope this helps some!! I've seen tooth miracles, and many dentists love to lie about cavities - maybe that's just personal experience. I have at least 4 fillings I never needed, and got my wisdom teeth extracted, a completely unnecessary surgery, before I discovered my dentist was a money-grubber who was lying to me. Not saying all dentists are bad!!! I'm sure there are great ones out there (any suggestions? ;)).
The pits in your molars: Molars are supposed to be quite bumpy and "pitted" to effectively grind greens and fibre. How big are we talking here?
EDIT TO ADD PS: Re-mineralizing is entirely possible. Dentists talk about it all the time, when a cavity magically "disappears." My boyfriend has spared himself countless fillings. He'd go to the dentist, who would spot a few cavities. Depressed, he would come home and swish milk in his mouth like mouthwash for a loooong time - perhaps half an hour - while changing the milk every ten or so. The calcium remineralized his teeth, and when he went back to the dentist for the fillings, the dentist was always shocked, because they''d be gone. Now, barring milk, how about chewing some calcium-rich broccoli or spinach for a long time and just sort of "soaking" your teeth in that for a while?

I do all those things and my teeth are still terrible. It's been my experience that good dental hygiene is the only way to improve the situation.

9 years ago I got tired of the hygienist butchering my gums in regular cleanings. She was probably rougher than most. Still, I never seemed to do a good enough job on my teeth and gums. I had gum problems, stained teeth, and a lot of tartar buildup between cleanings. At some point I couldn't face the hygienist again and I decided to take 100% responsibility for my own oral health. My bargain with myself is if I can keep my own teeth and gums healthy, I don't have to go to the dentist.
In my opinion the usual flossing and brushing apparatus isn't good enough to keep MY teeth and gums in good shape. Here's what I do now, after 9 years of trying this and that:
TWICE daily:
(1) Swish an anti-plaque rinse - this loosens tartar on the teeth before it can mineralize.
(2) Use water pic on gums. Until recently was flossing, but it wasn't doing a good enough job. Take my time and work around EVERY tooth. I have to fill the reservoir twice.
(3) Brush with baking soda using Philips ultrasonic toothbrush. Spend time on every tooth at the gumline, then brush the biting surfaces.
(4) Swish an anti-cavity rinse
(5) Try to wait 30 minutes before eating or drinking. Spit out residue of AC rinse, repeatedly.
Admittedly this is a lot of trouble, but my teeth are white and clean all the time instead of getting worse and worse between professional cleanings.

Thanks saxmaam for this information. I may invest in a water pic. I think simply being raw over time helps signficantly with dental hygiene as well. You tend to not even have tartar buildup and excess placque due to the foods you're consuming. An acquaintance's 12 year old daughter has been a vegan (not raw) since she was very small and her dentist can never find anything on her teeth. Zero and she has perfect gums and sparkling white teeth naturally. I can only imagine if you're a raw vegan the results can be the same or even better.

I've been oil pulling with sesame oil since March and I've healed a number of dental issues...sore gums, bleeding gums and my teeth are chalk white. I love it and it works.

Love how your boyfriend reminineralized his teeth! That's amazing.
I like the reminder about the greens. One more thing to check off the list regarding why they're so amazing. Thank you CHL! :D

If I can get my dad to order toothsoap for me, I'm totally getting some. Apparently it does wonders for your teeth...? I'd like to try it, anyway, cause it sounds good. xD Fasting (I think) has also helped to heal my latest cavity...I don't want my dad to have to pay for yet another, so... :o

tooth soap sounds interesting- something to look further into :) My front teeth have acid damage (you can not see it - but the dentist tells me that is why those teeth are so sensitive- I use the gross tasting pro-namel twice a day right now )

I swish with hydrogen peroxide or ACV.
Also, I find sleeping with a night guard helps as clenching can cause the problems you describe.

My dad has had a problem with bleeding gums most of his adult life and when he regularly consumes a quality green juice powder (like the one Alissa sells) it totally stops. So, I would agree ... up the greens. And oil pulling is great for oral hygiene.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but...what is "oil pulling"??? I have most of the problems that were mentioned, I can go to have my teeth cleaned and in less than 2 days time, I can see the stains coming back. I clean my teeth thoroughly EVERY morning and night and I floss them and use Listerene both times too and every time I eat anything, I use a little toothpick/brush to clean between my teeth and they are still a problem and not white at all. I am getting quite depressed about this, I find that people don't want to talk to me when they can see me (they don't like to look at my teeth I guess)!

What is oil pulling? I have seen it in several threads, but I can't find one that explains what it is. I did a banana search too.

Haven't read all replies but I'd recommend finding an organic dentist (yes there is such a thing) which will not put mercury in your mouth, and even remove any mercury fillings you may already have.

Did he just swish the milk once or do it regularly?
