I went to a throat specialist to find out why I continue to have 24/7 pain in my throat and why it's always dry and I have trouble speakin or singing now.
He says I have inflammation of my vocal chords and throat. In addition, I seem to be having an allergic reaction to WHO KNOWS WHAT because my skin hurts and is breaking out on my face, I have a perpetual headache, and my stomach doesn't accept food without becoming upset.
There is a chance my house could have mold in the walls from the monsoon rains, since there was a leak in the corner of my room where water was getting in everytime it rained hard....
And I KNOW I am deathly allergic to mold.
What can I do on the raw food diet that will bring down the inflammation and help my throat heal???
Again, I have oral herpes and that is what my initial infection nearly 3 weeks ago was likely from, but it is now constant inflammation.

Have you tried Garlic? I hope you feel better soon.
Some foods for inflammation: garlic (as above poster stated), turmeric, walnuts, onions, blueberries, sweet potatoes, spinach, pineapple, ginger.
Avoid nightshade vegetables.
I hope your condition heals.
I've heard too much vitamin A can make mold symptoms worse. Here is where I read it: http://www.ctds.info/mold_allergy_treatment.html

I would imagine that a smoothie made of nutmilk, avocado and frozen bananas would be soothing to your throat.
I really hope you feel better soon! I feel your pain about the mold. My dorm room is in a damp basement and we have mold here. I spray the walls with a mix of ACV and cayenne pepper. It doesn't smell good, but it sure kills that mold!

Is there anything you can do about the mold or sleep in another room? If you had a leak, it is likely you have mold. Unfortunately we are possibly due for more rain this weekend (20% chance tomorrow), so that might make the mold grow more. Eliminating the cause would go a long way to help you recover. In the meantime, follow the above suggestions for anti-inflammatory foods.

i would lower/eliminate your intake of sugary foods. when your blood sugar fluctuates wildly it can cause bursts of inflammation at microscopic levels. if you are going to be eating sugar, eat a fatty food beforehand- fat retards the absorption of sugar and can help you avoid blood sugar swings. if you elimate sugar you may see results in as little as 3 days.

Thank you!!!!!
My landlord is coming out now to check for mold, and if that's the case, VOILA... will work towards eliminating it...
It could also be my HAMSTERS.... but I got sick before I brought them home, though teh headachey, sleepy, nauseas part started after they came here to live.
msm for inflamtion seems to help me. as far as the herpes goes I would say remaining as stress free as possible, as that seems to be a trigger for the disease. stress comes in sooo many forms just try to remain peaceful and focus on wellness.

Hi there,
If I were you I would a very, very simple mono diet of mostly juicy fruits and get lots and lots of rest. That will remove a large load of your body and will allow you to cleanse and heal.
I hope you feel better soon!
Blessings,

Green woman, you've received such great advice already. I just wanted to add that when I was managing severe edema in my leg ginger root and ginger tea really helped with the inflammation. I really believe in it. I was not completely raw at the time and would have ginger tea 2-3x per day. I noticed significant improvements. I concur with having more fruit. Also try this juice combo: ginger-apple-celery.
edit: not only does it reduce inflammation, but it helps you "sweat out" toxins in the body. you may experience waking up with drenched clothing, but don't be alarmed as it's the gunk coming out.
All the best to you. I hope you discover what is causing it and that you feel better.
