 Some Nori Sheets *do* contain fish...they are often ground-up in the process of making the Nori!

This is true although I've not seen it lately. Thanks for the reminder.

Are you talking by accident or on purpose , b/c if its by accident the fish are VERY small (same with dulse-mainly watch for tiny plankton and shells) ,and as much as I LOVE all animals - Im not giving up nori for the slight chance that a tiny fish was at the wrong place at the wrong time ~ but I will look at te labels , especially if it was for "flavoring" or something .....

thanks for the info!

well sorta both, but i didn't even think to look for it as an ingredient before. i wouldn't not buy it for the same reason you said
(a fish being in the wrong place at the wrong time-- although i am curious about the frequency of fish ending up in it accidentally), but i will definitely look to see if it is listed as an ingredient now. it is funny to me how people take naturally vegan things and spice them up with fish or beef or chicken etc "natural flavorings" ugh!

thats one of the reasons i am trying to eat mainly raw-- i want to know exactly what i am putting in my body!

If you purchase from an Asian market you might find it as often as not. It looks quite different than that which is without. I've not seen it in nori from the "health" food stores I go to.

Well, at least this explains why I couldn't even take one bite of a raw nori roll.
