Although I have done a search of previous posts on this topic, I am looking for any other stories of people improving their cholesterol by eating raw (high raw or 100%).

I'd like to pass the information onto my brother who has very high cholesterol and is on medication for it. He has been fairly receptive to my diet advise, but of course seeing the results others have achieved will be the proof he needs to make some bigger changes!

Thank you all, and as my cholesterol has not changed from a cooked vegan diet to a high raw diet I can't personally tell him that it has helped much, yet!

When I went to the doctor last February my cholesterol was getting a little high. I think my bad cholesterol was at 155 and it should be 130 or under. My family has a history of bad cholesterol. Both of my parents died at 87 and 91 and had taken meds for years. They each weighed less than 120 and hadn't had butter or chicken skin etc for decades. They still took meds.

I asked my doc to give me 6 months of raw and consistant exercise to bring down the numbers before talking about meds again. He agreed. I ate high raw in Feb and March and went 100% on April 1st. I didn't start my consistent exercise until May because of detox and a fall down the stairs.

At any rate, I had my followup blood work done yesterday so I'll have an idea if high raw, then 100% for 100 days makes a difference. I've been walking 4-5 times a week for at least an hour each time, since May. I hope I come back with good news!!!

Calee... how wonderful to hear from you! I too will be anxiously waiting to hear of your results and am hoping for success for you!

I am waiting to have my blood work done again as it has not improved (yet) and have high cholesterol as a family issue from both my parents also. We are all on the thin side too!
