www.mountainroseherbs.com has dried tulsi leaves on sale for $6.40 per pound this month. I just drank a glass of tulsi tea with honey, made with warm (not boiling, still raw) water. It is delicious and sooo relaxing.
1 lb of leaves makes a LOT of tea, like a 6 months supply!

I love tulsi! I was in India last year and many homes have this Holy Basil Growing in their front yard. It is considered holy by Hindus. It is used for many things such as fever, colds, coughs, high cholesterol, poor memory, and as a nerve tonic. It is a major herb in the practice of Ayurvedic Medicine. I hope to grow some next summer. There are many different types.
Thanks for mentioning this wonderful herb!

I wanted to thank you for the info you've put out here about Tulsi...I had never heard of it before but thanks to your threads I have researched it and started drinking it this week....I bought Organic India's Tulsi in several flavors which all have a blend of three types of holy basil. They are delicious and I am going to be drinking them daily.
