I was wondering does anyone have an alternatives to making a crust for sweet potato pie? Due to acid and alkalin I do not like mixing protien (nuts, grains etc) with sweets. What I'm thinking of doing is just making a sweet potato pudding which is without the crust. Also has anybody ever made a pie and put it in the dehydrator as all the recipes I see don't suggest this. Thanks any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Sweet Potato is not considered a sweet in food combining, but a slightly starchy vegetable.

I did make a sweet potato casserole and put it in the dehydrator strictly for warming purposes. I also put a nut crumble topping on it but you dont have to. It was a pudding texture. I used sweet potatoes, thai coconut meat with just a little of the water for blending, dates, and cinnamon.
