I just tried 4 of Alissa's week 1 recipes. Wow! I'm back on track 100% again and am following her plan. Here's my little "review" of the first four recipes...

The mock salmon pate was awesome! It actually reminded me of tuna salad so I'm curious as to what her mock tuna tastes like. Reading the ingredients, I wasn't sure I would like this one, but I'm not one of those people who are afraid to try new things so I went ahead.. AND very happy I did!

The alfredo wasn't my favorite. I haven't found a soup or cold noodle recipe that I have liked yet though.... So it's just me.

The date torte was good although I've never been a big "sweets" person. I do like it though. It's very rich and filling, so one little triangle was enough for me (for one sitting! lol).

Alissa's dressing was also good. I wasn't sure if I would like it because I like creamy dressings as opposed to vinaigrette type dressings, but I'll definitely be making this a lot! It's simple and good.

So that's my humble opinion! Can't wait to try the rest! What's your favorite recipe?

Try the pad thai if you're not yet impressed with noodle recipes...it really will knock your socks off! :)

I third the pad thai. I was just at the store and picked up bean sprouts hoping that I had everything else for the pad thai. Very good and very addicting!!

I think it has a lighter feel in the mouth and gut than the pesto.

If you still have some date nut torte...try putting a piece in the dehydrator or warm oven for a 15-20 minutes. It gets a very soft texture, almost like the inside of a pecan pie, or fudge while it's still warm.

My other favorite thing was the mock salmon pate. I don't like salmon, and I have found most other nut pates disappointing, but I loved this one!
