View Full Version : NANO technlogy and ADHD. Hmph.

There is a doctor in my Hungarian language class who is in Budapest to get a Ph.D researching the use of NANO technology to make medicine for ADHD.

LOL! I was just the person to tell that to, sort of. I told him during the break (mind you in Hungarian, so the conversation was simple): A doctor told me I have ADHD, took medicine for many years. I don't need it now, though, because I eat raw vegetarian food. I feel very lucky.

He said it's not the food. It's because I'm an adult now.

Welp (as I said), I was an adult at 24 years and 6 months, needing the Ritalin for a normal life. When I changed over to raw food and stopped taking the Ritalin at 24 years and 6 months and 2 weeks, I don't think I had changed from child to adult. Perhaps some people lose sickness when they turn 18, but I didn't.

He didn't really like that, so it was maybe for the best that the break ended then. His eyes sort of glazed over. What can I say. His skin is gray, and he seemed angry at my personal experience. He clearly is lacking in the raw food department. I felt some sexism in there too; I think he comes from a country where women are supposed to cover their heads and keep quiet.

Maybe next time I'll keep quiet for people that don't care for healing anyways. Yup.

ay yi yi!!!

*smacks self in head*

Some people. I've learned when to keep quiet. Not always though, but sometimes you just know!

Sometimes people don't want to believe that changing ones diet can fix health problems... Sad but true. Sounds like he was set on his thoughts regarding ADHD.

Obviously he didn't have add himself, or he might have been able to entertain other ideas and experiences than his own..(not that you need to have add to comprehend a conversation lol)

But the especially scary part for me is the nanotechnology? wtf? Forgive my ignorance, but are these small organic engineered things or tiny robotic things? Aggh!

Either way I find it very scary that they are developing ways of mind control like this. And from an evolutionary standpoint, even scarier.

I'm 58, and it's true...I'm still trying to grow up :D, though I doubt that I will outgrow ADD. I'd hate to lose all the POSITIVE stuff that comes with it. Medicated people are dull!

LOL Emma... OK OK, I never really grew up either.

Anyways, I have to agree. I JUST was talking to my husband about this last night. He used to always be doing something when on the phone with me (eating, crinkling a package, washing dishes). I would tell him, "Look, I find that distracting. I can't even know what you're saying with all the background noise. Let's talk when you're not busy."... And I think it's (even with raw) the ADHD issues that make that more annoying for me and almost overwhelming. He's been really good about not doing those things lately. After me saying the above about 27 times, he gets the message.

So last night was a rare moment that he was doing something while on the phone with me. I told him the same spiel as before. He stopped right away. Then we were talking for a couple minutes, and I was telling him about how I think it's GOOD that I catch EVERYthing, especially since my business is marketing, design, and copy editing (although that to a lesser degree now that my staff has grown!).

I feel blessed and lucky that I can recognize changes that need to be made in my life but still get to keep all the good stuff.

All that to say, I agree wholeheartedly! LOL. :)
