I am seeing prices all over the road for this. some very inexpensive and some thru the roof. does anyone have any advice about this? how do i know whats best... do i shop price? is it all the same?
i have never used this before so i dont know that much about it. i want good stuff but i dont want to pay top dollar either if there are no differences.
any help would be most appreciated.

I got mine locally at HFS. Can't remember brand, but 16 ounces. Almost finished it but don't use it daily however. About $9.00 I paid. Obviously not the best brand for that money but affordable for my needs.

yeah... i dont expect to use it daily.... just for doing deserts and things. it must be a while since you have had that piece you paid $9 for. Alissa is selling hers for $29 i think. i am sure its wonderful but its alot to spend on a desert ingredient. i havent seen it anwhere for that cheap.

I get mine for about $12 a pound from a raw store online. It's raw, and it's super tasty with carob or cacao or whatever floats your boat. Now, I haven't tried Alissa's because it was SO expensive, but I would be willing to bet that hers is the creme of the creme. All the stuff she has seems to be comparatively the best of anywhere I've tried (that includes a comparison of: olives, cacao powder, coconut flakes, coconut butter, coconut oil, olive oil... I've tried a couple other things that were good but I only have a minute here!)

Please email me directly if your budget constraints mean you want details on the $12/lb. variety that I found. That info is not appropriate to post here.

It's my way of saying thanks for letting us have this FREE forum. Plus it's such a decadent luxury for me, I only buy it ever so often.

LOL, maybe that's my problem! The last time I ordered some, I got 5 pounds. They went too quick when I ordered only 2 pounds the previous time! :eek:
