This morning I got up, and it was quite chilly outside. I think I am going to have some trouble with it getting cold. I technically have not been raw in the winter yet! I decided to make myself a mug of hot water with lemon for my car ride to work. I drank it, It was VERY weird feeling the hot go through my body, I have noticed that since raw, after I drink a really cold bottle of water, I get cold SO FAST, almost to where it begins to feel uncomfortable. So I have been sticking to room temp water.
Back to the hot feeling, I DID NOT LIKE IT! It made my belly feel icky, I felt a little dizzy!! It was SO weird. Lately, its as if, After I eat something, I can feel it moving through me, and it either gives me a good feeling or a bad feeling!
I dont like it, I dont love it, but its kind of cool! (sometimes literally! hahaha)
anyone else experience this?
Holy goodness -- saw you're really close to your goal weight! Cool!
As for the lemon, I guess it would be cooking the lemon if it's really hot water -- so it's like having something cooked?
I don't know. It's colder outside, even colder than New England was... but I don't seem to desire herbal tea these days. I will have it socially at times, as opposed to beer, wine, coffee, etc., but it doesn't taste as good as it once did.

Maybe try some warm water instead of hot.

I enjoy warm teas and warm liquids, but not hot liquids. The other day I went to an herbal tea party (sooo much fun!) and I noticed that I was much more sensitive to the temperature of the tea than in my pre-raw days. My mouth would get burned so easily! I think on raw we can taste our foods much better because our mouths aren't getting burnt all the time from hot foods. It's pretty cool when you think about it :D .

I agree about using warm water. I use a themometer and just heat the water to about 105 F. It's amazing how warming that little bit of heat can be, and soothing.
Although I haven't been raw long, I experience the same thing with hot liquids. They feel too hot and I feel like I am burning my tongue and esophagus. This is coming from an ex hot tea drinker.

This just gave me a great idea!!! I can use the dehydrator for tea water! It's cold here already anyways, and the dehydrator heats up my apartment a bit, so it's hardly wasted extra energy if I don't have crackers or whatever to dehydrate. :) Genius.
