My Vitamix 5200 that I got on EBAY...

...will be here next week! I can't wait to get it!...It is a commercial one and was used under 2 years in a coffee shop for smoothies exclusively....It was a decent price...though I have to admit now I am a little nervous and wondering if I should have spent the extra to get a new one....hopefully it won't be an expensive lesson....

In the meantime.....we made smoothies today with our regular blender....kids love GS with frozen bananas and fresh spinach......wondering if frozen bananas can be put in the VM without the machine shaking on the counter like my regular blender......and can you reaaallly put whole fruits in and blend away? Do you have to add water? I am so excited to get this....................

How exciting! I miss my VitaMix! I actually sold it right before I moved over here. But my mom didn't know I was selling it and had been excited because she thought I would send it to her with my dehydrator. She hid her disappointment well... but I ended up buying her a used VM on ebay (one of the old-school metal ones), and it was in great condition even though it's from the days of groovy disco.

Now whenever I visit her, she'll have it there. Everybody wins. :)
