Hi everyone,

I have hardly any money to spend on a blender/food processor mine broke today, i really don't think i can live without one though :(
Can anyone recommend what is best blender/foodprocessor etc as i need to get a new one, but dont want to totally burn another one out again if i am using the wrong type. I use it mainly for grinding things like cacao beans, seeds, nuts etc.
I really do not have enough money for a vitamix, i live in the uk so anything that is under 20 pounds that anyone recommends.

Cheers.:)

If you only want to grind/chop, this mini chopper is really great, inexpensive & worth the money:

Then if you get an inxpensive blender, they'll be less wear & tear.

This mini blender is inexpensive & has good reviews:

A more expensive/better quality blender many like is KitchenAid.

Some like the Magic Bullet.

I have been using the Oster Beehive Classic Blender for a year now and it's very powerful for a $40-60 blender. (I got mine on craigslist brand new for $30). You have to get the one with Classic on the label. It has a glass carafe which I love! I thought it wouldn't last as long as it has, but it's hanging in there and I use it at least 2-3x if not more times per day. You just have to be careful to chop your produce and cover the blades with water. I highly recommend this one if you're on a budget.

And it's cool looking too - looks good on the kitchen counter.
