I have recently added flax seeds to my diet, I have been digesting them well (I have a lot of issues with digesting nuts and seeds) but I suffer from extreme nausea after eating just a spoonful or 2, or just 3 flax seeds. I am 100% so, Its not the fiber thats getting to me, I have always been on a very high fiber diet.

At this point, looking at my flax crackers, or the granola I got with sprouted flax in it is making me SICK.

has this happened to anyone?

I don't know if it is unusual or not, but it sounds to me like you are detoxing using the flax. I would make sure it is really fresh, and organic. Are you eating them just by the spoonful? This may be too much for system now, and I wouldn't push it. Just back off for a while and see how you feel.

I feel for me to be able to deal wit flaxseeds they need to be soaked for atleast 30 minutes. Even for making crackers or anything. I would only eat flax in crackers or crushed on top of a salat or somthing.
They have a tendancy to swolow up, also in your stomac. I learned that the hard way :( So soaking or in small amounts.

Do you soak your nuts and seeds ? they are much more easy to digest when they are soaked for 8 houres. I dont do to well with nuts and seeds either but I found that soaking and then blending really well is really imortant (no chunks) and then eating it with greens, only with greens. I think that doing food combining when it comes to nuts and seeds if you dont digest them well might be a good idear.

BUT maby better to stay away form them for a while ? no need to force our body to eat somthing that it dosent aprove of. Eating should be a joy :-))

Maybe a silly question but did you soak them so they formed the jelly around them?

I get a sore throat if I eat flax seed crackers. One time I found a cracker that was only flax seeds and sunflower seeds, no salt. Each time I ate one I got a sore throat immediately, so I quit eating those crackers. I think different people have a different sensitivity to flax. If it doesn't feel good to you, definitely don't eat them.
